We get fare information from a variety of data sources. Bus price information comes from Traveline Scotland and from local bus operator pricing tables; Rail fare information comes from RailEasy; and some taxi fare information comes from Karhoo.

Other pricing information is gathered manually by our team and an algorithm we have developed determines what price estimate to display. The estimate is based on the distance, time and date of your planned journey and, in the case of some services like car clubs and bike hire, the type of vehicle available from the pickup location the journey planner has identified as the most suitable.

However, the prices provided are only estimates. The actual price is determined by the transport provider you use.
